When Cleo and Jade go on a date, intimacy and desire begin to surface, but so does the pressure of being visible in public. Their relationship becomes exposed to the male gaze, to threat, and to the ways queer people learn to read the spaces around them. Is the problem the gaze itself, or the way we have been conditioned to react to it?
At QUEERHUB’s first edition in May 2026, Game Over writer, executive producer and actor Kit Sinclair joined Louisa Connolly-Burnham to talk about the ideas behind the film and the experiences that shaped its development.
Their conversation explored the tension around queer intimacy in public spaces, and whether that was something Sinclair consciously wanted to address from the beginning. They also discussed what queer audiences might feel seen or recognised in when watching the film, opening the conversation towards safety, belonging and the ways queer people experience intimacy beyond private space.
